RAHIRI

A Māori illustration book sharing a visual story of Rahiri and his sons written in Te Reo Māori.

24 glorious pages of vibrant coloured illustrations created by local rangatahi māori of Hokianga and Tāmaki Makaurau under the tutelage of local artists Bobby MacDonald, Maria MacDonald and Amiria Puia-Taylor. Supported with the guidance of Matua John Klaricich, Matua Shane Wikaira and the foundations of the late Matua Hirini M M Wikaira. This pukapuka was produced through a series of waananga koorero at Waiwhatawhata Marae, Manea Footprints of Kupe and Ngawha Springs as a part of Tū Maia Tū Kaha Arts Leadership Holiday Programme 2021.
